Kids are getting 27-percent of their daily calories from snacks today, while decades ago it was under 20-percent! And many school-age kids are snacking up to six times a day, when years ago it was just once or twice. Researchers say that all this snacking wouldn’t be worrisome if kids stuck to more healthful options. This was the topic of conversation yesterday during a segment on “View from the Bay”, a lifestyle program that airs weekdays on ABC7 News (KGO TV) in the San Francisco Bay Area.
During the segment, Registered Dietician, Julie Upton, gave her recommendations for healthy snacking for kids and what was one of her selections? Pirate’s Booty of course!!
